Information This group held its inaugural session in early 2024, becoming the first U3A AI group in Lincolnshire. Since then, it has continued to publish a monthly newsletter highlighting AI events, resources, and talks delivered by the national U3A AI team. Although regular meetings are currently paused due to low membership and limited interest, members still receive up‑to‑date information about AI activities across the wider U3A community. The current group leader is part of the national U3A AI team, ensuring the group remains well‑connected and informed about new developments and opportunities.

Information We meet at Dunholme Indoor Bowls Centre in Honeyholes Lane. The first three sessions are free when a tutor will show you how to play. You will be loaned shoes and bowls for your trial period. After that you can join the Bowls Club for £40 p.a., play whenever you want and pay £3 each time. Most of our u3a members have now done this. Otherwise the charge is £5 per session.

Information This French Beginners group is for anybody new or returning to French after a break. Each session will cover the basics of the language. This French Beginners group is ideal for anyone new to French or returning after a break. Each session introduces the basics of the language in a supportive, step-by-step way. It’s designed for members who want to build confidence and take their early knowledge a little further, even if they have only a small amount of previous experience. We explore everyday situations to practise speaking, listening and simple writing. The group currently uses Easy French Step-By-Step and BBC Talk French as core resources. The group hopes to restart in October when a new group leader is secured. Spaces are available, and a new Group Leader is required.

Information This French Conversation group is for confident French speakers who enjoy using the language in a relaxed, friendly setting. Sessions are conducted mainly in French, with members sharing items of interest to spark discussion, broaden vocabulary and encourage natural conversation. Meetings take place fortnightly on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, in the Lammas Leas Community Room, from 6.00pm to 7.30pm. The group hopes to restart from October 2026 when a new Group Leader is secured.

Information At our monthly meetings we have a guest speaker. In the summer months we visit at least one garden each month; if it is out of the county then we organise a coach to take us there. We produce a monthly newsletter which includes our programme. We also organise the occasional workshop, e.g. planting an air plant container or apple grafting. We also organise an annual holiday to another area of the UK. In 2026 we are visiting Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex over 4 days. For more information contact Jane on 07971 277482.
