Art     

When Monthly, on 2nd Wednesday.
Normally meets 10:30 to 12:30
Information Art Group meets monthly, exploring drawing and painting through a variety of medium and subject matter. The atmosphere is relaxed and help or advice is given when needed. Beginners or experienced artists are welcome.

Badminton     

When Weekly, on Wednesday.
Normally meets 12:30 to 13:30
Information A group of likeminded souls get together once a week for an hour to play badminton. It’s quick, energetic and a good workout. We don’t play by official rules because we play for the exercise, the fun of it, and the friendship!

Boarders     

When Monthly, on 2nd Friday.
Normally meets 14:00 to 16:00
Information This group is all about having fun and a bit of competition, with a variety of old and new (table top) games. It's for those who like to laugh, learn and put your brain and reflexes to work.

Bridge     

When Weekly, on Wednesday.
Normally meets 14:00 to 16:00
Information The bridge group meet on Wednesday afternoons. A friendly session of bridge takes place where advice and support is offered if requested.

Coffee     

When Friday, as arranged
Normally meets 10:30 to 12:30
Information The Coffee Group provides an opportunity for members to enjoy their favourite beverage, and some great chat on a monthly basis in various very pleasant venues within Banbridge district.

Crafts     

When Twice Monthly, on 1st and 3rd Friday
Normally meets 14:00 to 16:00
Information The Craft Group meets twice monthly. The group enjoys a range of crafts, including knitting, crochet, sewing, embroidery, cross-stitch, toy making and more, sharing ideas and skills in an informal, friendly setting. Members are often happy to help others try a new craft, and some basic materials are available if required.

Family History     

When Twice Monthly, on 1st and 3rd Wednesday.
Normally meets 10:30 to 12:00
Information The family research group has been meeting twice per month - September to May and some great discoveries have been made. The resources available now makes the job easier, but sadly very early records for Ireland are missing. We have an average of 6 folks per session and have great craic with sharing our local knowledge. New researchers are very welcome.

Flower Arranging     

When Monthly, on 4th Friday.
Normally meets 14:00 to 16:00
Information The flower arranging group meets monthly, except July August and December. The instructions for the designated arrangement are sent out on the group WhatsApp about a week before, but members are free to do any different arrangement they wish. Members bring their own flowers and containers, but there is a sharing of information and foliage in this friendly group, which is made up of seasoned arrangers and absolute newcomers.

History     

When Monthly, on the Friday after the General Meeting
Information The u3a History Buffs are an adventurous group of people, interested in History. We have a monthly exploration of sites of historic interest, and two fun filled residentials annually, enjoying the Social aspect of the company of like minded others, while adding to our knowledge of the rich History of this wonderful island.

Logic Puzzles     

When Monthly, on 1st Thursday.
Normally meets 14:00 to 16:00
Information A friendly and informal group which explores a wide variety of puzzles designed to stretch the mind, spark discussion, and provide plenty of fun along the way. From classic logic grids and deductive reasoning problems to riddles, code-breaking, and mathematical puzzles, there is something for everyone - whether you are a seasoned puzzle enthusiast or a complete beginner.

Page Turners

Information Our members' goals are to: read more, broaden our range of book choices, and meet others through discussion of book(s) approximately every 6 weeks. Discussions are light & often link the book with current issues.

Photography     

When Monthly, on 4th Wednesday.
Normally meets 10:00 to 12:00
Information We are a friendly group who like taking photos using both DSLR and phone cameras. We learn from each other, with advice and constructive comments, using our skills to meet the project set for each month.

Pickleball     

When Weekly, on Wednesday.
Normally meets 10:30 to 12:30
Information Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and table-tennis. Players use a smooth faced, “paddle” or racket to hit a perforated, hollow, plastic ball between one another over a modified tennis net on the badminton-size court. Pickleball is a sport for all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. It is easy to pick up for beginners and it is a great way to exercise, keep active and meet new people. Members can use the paddles and balls provided to play doubles. All are welcome to come and try out this fun sport.

Senior Yoga     

When Weekly, on Thursday.
Normally meets 10:30 to 11:30
Information The classes will be led by Sayon Cheung Mulligan in Studio 1. Providing a gentle, accessible way to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and mental well-being. This is suitable for everyone, even if you have never tried yoga before, so please do join us.

Walking     

When Weekly, on Monday.
Normally meets 09:15 to 13:00
Information The walking group meet every Monday morning. Sometimes a suggested walk will be posted in advance, otherwise it's decided among the group on the day. We all enjoy exploring our beautiful countryside and each others' company.
