Information Bonnie & Clyde the Musical After the success of Six Teen Edition in Summer 2025, the Nottingham Arts Theatre Youth Group is back with a full scale production of Bonnie & Clyde the Musical. At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes and the Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless, and alluring, the Tony-nominated Bonnie & Clyde the Musical from the legendary Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll And Hyde, Civil War, Dracula) is the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire country. When Bonnie and Clyde meet, their mutual cravings for excitement and fame immediately set them on a mission to chase their dreams. Their bold and reckless behaviour turns the young lovers' thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, putting themselves and their loved ones in trouble with the law. Forced to stay on the run, the lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive. As the infamous duo's fame grows bigger, their inevitable end draws nearer. Bonnie & Clyde is a thrilling and sexy musical with a non-traditional score, combining blues, gospel and rockabilly music. It is a wonderful option for featuring large ensemble casts and an opportunity to showcase your strong contemporary singers and actors.

Information Minibus for day trip to eyam Eyam (pronounced "Eem") is a historic village in England's Peak District, famous as the "Plague Village" for its courageous 17th-century decision to quarantine itself during the Great Plague (1665-1666), saving surrounding areas by sacrificing many of its own people, with landmarks like boundary stones and the Eyam Museum preserving its story. The Plague Story Arrival: The bubonic plague arrived via a bundle of infected cloth sent to the village tailor. Decision: The village rector, Reverend Mompesson, convinced residents to isolate themselves for 14 months to stop the spread, accepting huge losses. Sacrifice: Around 260 out of 800 villagers died, including Mompesson's wife, but the quarantine worked, preventing the plague from reaching nearby towns like Sheffield. Legacy: The village is remembered for its resilience and sacrifice, with descendants of survivors still living there, and visitors can see boundary stones where coins were left for food. Attractions: Explore the Eyam Museum, historic Eyam Hall, and sites related to the plague like Mompesson's Well and the Riley Graves.

We welcome members of the group to bring their own ideas and skills to share with the rest of us. I personally don’t profess to be an expert in any particular craft but I have ‘had go’ at many techniques and love trying out new things, preferring to make, create and upcycle where I can, rather than buy, so I’m looking forward to us all sharing our individual skills. Occasionally we may bring in a professional demonstrator to help us develop new areas of expertise. There will be a small charge, to cover tea/coffee and the cost of the room, (which will be dependent on numbers). We may need to ask for a contribution for materials. We don't all have the same gadgets but we have tried risottos in slow cookers, air fryers and pressure cookers with varying degrees of success, done curries in different ways, tried chips made from potatoes and cooked in an air fryer compared to oven ready frozen chips cooked in the fan oven, and made halloumi chips in the air fryer. We have tried different sweet treats, scones in the air fryer, sponge cake in a microwave, caramalized bananas, to name but a few. We have tried breakfast ideas made in different gadgets, lunch ideas and even a 3 course Christmas lunch. The group started up as Energy Efficient Cooking, when we thought we would concentrate on air fryers, slow cookers and microwaves. We decided though to change the name to Fun Cooking with gadgets and now the use of any of those gadgets we have stowed away in our kitchen cupboards is allowed and encouraged. We have now experimented with spiralisers, soup makers, salad spinners, omelette makers and mixers as well. This group has space for 2 new members so if you are interested please let Val know.
