Details Meeting April till October there are 3 levels of cycling available, gentle - cycling from Rushden Lakes stopping at Stanwick Lakes for those that wish to meet there then on to The Old Water Mill for coffee and cake (50 minutes each way) moderate - cycling from Rushden Lakes stopping at Stanwick Lakes for those that wish to meet there then onto Thrapston for lunch - 1 hour 20 minutes each way moderate + away - as this ride goes from different locations it would mean transporting your bike to the start of the ride - generally these rides are round routes which can take between 2/3 hours

Mindfulness and Meditation

Details Contact 01604 813483 To find out more I have recently joined H&R U3A and am also a member of Wellingborough where I have been running the Mindfulness and Meditation groups. We needed two groups after a while as interest grew. I would like to start a beginners group at H&R if there is sufficient interest. I have practised and studied meditation for years and, after leaving the teaching profession, became a holistic therapist. You may well have seen (and heard?) my Island of Peace download that was made available on your website during the first lockdown. That will give you some idea of what I do.

What about the more bluesy Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Chicken Shack, B.B.King, Derek and The Dominoes or Dire Straits, or even the electronic music of Kraftwerk or Tangerine Dream? Details Walking - Country Parks and pocket parks within a short driving distance of Rushden. We are not ramblers, and the pace is set so that we wait for the slowest walker. We meet on the 1st or 2nd Sunday each month throughout the year, and the walk commences at the venue of choice - 10.30am and finishes about 12 noon with the option to have lunch at a nearby pub after the walk

Details This is a member-led group which enables people to ask all other members the WALT question -" Would Anyone Like To"? followed by absolutely any activity or event they fancy doing or going to. But probably won't because they don't want to do it on their own. We have a monthly meeting at the Windmill Club on the first Tuesday of each month at 10.15 am to get to know each other and put names to faces. Membership of this group depends on the signing of a Data Protection Agreement as we communicate by email. But we do not allow technology to prevent anyone from joining WALT - we have a Buddy System if someone does not use,or is unsure of email.
