This approach has enabled the group to explore some unusual topics and artists. Recently we have enjoyed talks on topics as diverse as Railway Poster Art and the Bulgarian artist Vladimir Dimitrov. Discussions are prepared and led either by individuals or a small team. No experience necessary! Some members are new to the subject while others have a long standing interest. Occasional visits to galleries and museums are also on the agenda.

All you need is enthusiasm, passion and practice and to be prepared to 'have a go'. From time to time, we have demonstrations and workshops, sometimes with outside presenters but more usually we have enough talent within our own Group. Artefacts are always on display to be used for inspiration, while , some members prefer to bring their own piece of work to complete. This year, we had our first alfresco session and everything went perfectly for us: brilliant weather and a lovely inspiring garden setting with enough colour to satisfy all artistic tastes. We hope this becomes an annual feature.

From time to time we have guest speakers and members presenting the various aspects of this enthralling pastime. We meet every month except August and December. You need no knowledge of wines so come along and give your palate a workout. There is a nominal charge to cover the costs which includes nibbles. A very pleasant way to spend a casual evening.
