Information This group caters for all enthusiastic collectors and those interested in antiques. We normally meet on the last Monday of the month at Crantock Village Hall where we share items of interest. We are not valuers or experts but welcome like-minded members for a morning to gain knowledge and have some fun. We currently have a waiting list so please contact the leader if you wish to have your name added to the list.

Information A variety of field trips for anyone interested in the geology of Cornwall. Usually over fairly rough terrain so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. As the name of the group suggests, the pace of the walk is slow, as we pause to take photos or study wildlife etc. The distance will only be as far as the least fit participant can manage. Wildlife

Information Trips usually of a couple of miles of fairly easy terrain to observe nature. Venues vary and are arranged at short notice. Binoculars are useful and appropriate weather gear is essential. Weather dependent.

Wine Tasting

Information The venue would be EW Wines, a local Wine Merchant based in Indian Queens. St Austell U3A Wine Appreciation Group have had a few Wine Tasting evenings there and I give a recent comment from their Newsletter:- " Ellis Wharton Wines have always given us tastings to remember, for not only the interesting selection of wines, but also the amazing spread of food. Without doubt every member who has attended has commented on what a wonderful evening they enjoyed, plus many return home with a box full of purchases." The evening would take place between 6.30pm and 9pm approx.The cost would be £30 per person which will include 6 wines to taste and food comprising meat and cheese plus Da Bara bakery focaccia and other nibbles. In view of the consumption of alcohol, I would be happy to try and arrange a minibus/taxi/small coach picking up in Newquay which will probably cost around £15 per head.
