Engineering Science and Technology group (EST). Our aim is to share the wealth of practical experience that exists within our members as well as creating opportunities to learn something new. We are an inclusive group where all members can and are invited to contribute. Currently we are holding events every 2 weeks, alternating local meetings with field trips . The local meetings consist of short presentations followed by Q&A and discussion time. The field trips aim to provide an interesting day out with the opportunity to learn. This group for those members who would like to play their instruments / sing in a friendly enthusiastic group. It is mainly but not exclusively for Electric Instruments like electric or electro-acoustic guitars, keyboards, percussion but also harmonicas, sax etc. anything that can make a noise or just come along to sing and join in. The group is aimed at those above complete beginner level but more important would be the enthusiasm to have a go and maybe pass on any knowledge. Open to new ideas and suggestions for music styles - hence The Elastic Band. You do not have to read music as most of the music sheets will be chords and TAB format with lyrics and we can cover all musical genres as suggested by the group. You would need to have access to emails and the internet and a printer if you use paper music sheets or a device that you can use to view the sheets digitally. If you’re not sure please get in touch.
